Adam Ashton

Veterinary Surgeon

BVSc.MRCVS

 

Adam qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1995 and began his career in a rural mixed practice. Since then he spent a short period as a locum veterinary surgeon before settling in the Peterborough area in 1998. Adam initially worked for Pengelly and Mizen at Park Road before moving to Hampton Veterinary Centre where he has now worked for many years. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary work but has a particular interest in intricate surgery and opthalmology

 

Adam's other main interest outside the veterinary field is carpentry and joinery which he finds a refreshing change from the intensity of veterinary work.

 

Any free time he has left, Adam likes to spend with his partner and their three children. He also has a dog, a cat and a few chickens.

Ruth Tickner

Veterinary Surgeon

BVSc MRCVS

 

Ruth has worked for M.O.A Pengelly and G.P. Mizen since 2003, mainly at the surgery in Park Road, Peterborough and joined the team at Hampton Veterinary Centre in May 2007.

She has an interest in all skin conditions and enjoys reconstructive skin surgery.

 

She has a dog, 1 cat, some chickens and 3 children at home.

Anne Whitaker

Veterinary Surgeon

M.A. Vet.M.B. MRCVS

 

Anne has been a veterinary surgeon for many years at our Peterborough Surgery in Park Road. She has joined the team at the Hampton Veterinary Centre and spends time between both sites at Hampton and Pengelly and Mizen.

She is interested in all small animals but has a personal interest in exotics especially reptiles.

 

She has 2 cats, 1 child and 1 husband at home.

Jess Power

Veterinary Surgeon

MRCVS

 

Jess started working for us in January 2013. She graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in London in 2011. Jess has previously worked in a small animal practice near Birmingham before coming to Hampton.

 

When not at work, Jess enjoys reading, walking and visiting friends.

Hayley Marshall

BSC (Hons) BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Hayley is 28 and studied at the Royal Veterinary College, she graduated in 2015. Before qualifying as a veterinary surgeon she did a degree in Biomedical Science at University of Sheffield. She is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. Hayley enjoys all sports, including triathlon, skiing and horse riding, and anything involving being in the great outdoors. She lives with her crazy cocker spaniel, Harvey and cat, Hettie and hope to get riding again as soon as time allows.

Peter Tomlinson

Veterinary Surgeon

BVSc (Hons) MRCVS

 

Peter qualified from Liverpool University, joining the practice in 2015. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery but particularly cardiology. In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing the guitar and rock climbing. He also has his own dog a Cardigan Corgi called Lilac.

Laura Frost

MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Laura qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Cambridge vet school in 2009. Her interests include; small animal surgery and ultrasound. Laura is currently studying towards an advanced qualification in soft tissue surgery. Laura has a very handsome maincoon male cat called Thor. Away from the surgery she enjoys spending time with her husband, running, hiking and creative writing.

Olivia Newell

BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Olivia qualified from the Royal Veterinary College,and joined us in 2011. She enjoys surgery and has a particular interest in dermatology. In her spare time she makes handmade items such as jewellery. She also likes gardening and cooking. Olivia has a mischievous Cross Breed dog called Nessie.

Lisa Kirk

BSc (Hons) BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Lisa qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013 having previously obtained a degree in anatomical science from the university of Bristol. She has 1 retired greyhound called Maisy and 1 rescue Saluki called Tess.In her spare time, Lisa likes to go horse-riding and bike-riding.

Drs Sylvia Keller

MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Sylvia qualified in 2001 and has been with this practice since then. She is interested in Equine and small animal dentistry. Sylvia is married to Remco (also a veterinary surgeon), and they have 3 children, they also have three dogs called Lola, Millie and Charlie, two guinea pigs, two ponies. and an array of other animals including chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits etc.

Martin Pengelly

BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Martin qualified in 1977 from the Royal Veterinary College in London, worked for 4 years in Norfolk and returned to Peterborough in 1981. Martin joined his father in the practice and after the retirement of Mr Tunney in 1984, he became a partner. He is married with 3 children, 2 grandchildren, 2 dogs and a varying number of cats and kittens. Martin is interested in farm animals, small animals, equine and greyhounds. He is on the panel for inspection of Riding Establishments and Kennels.

Geoff Mizen

BVSc BSc MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

 

Geoff spent most of his early years on farms where he developed an interest in animal care. He went onto study Zoology in London before obtaining a Veterinary degree from Bristol University. Geoff joined the practice in 1980 and became one of the practice partners in 1986. Geoff enjoys working in many different aspects of Veterinary medicine and has a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery.
